Your EBT card can do more than just pay for purchases.
In addition to the Free or discounted Museum admission, there are other amazing discounts and perks that come with your EBT card. Here are a. few:
Amazon Prime EBT Discount
If you have an EBT Card, you can now sign up for Amazon Prime EBT Discount and get all the great benefits that come with Prime membership, at a fraction of the cost.
The regular Amazon Prime membership is $12.99 a month. However, if you have an EBT Card, you can get Prime Membership for $5.99. That’s over 50% off the regular price.

Free or Discounted Home and Cell Phone
If you are currently EBT Cardholder, and your income is below a certain level, you may qualify for FREE or low-cost home or cell phone service for you or a member of your family.
This is through the Federal Lifeline Program, which serves nearly 13 million Americans.
The Lifeline program helps to lower the monthly cost of phone and internet service.
Eligible customers will get at least $9.25 toward their monthly bill.
You can only use Lifeline for either phone or internet service, but not both.
What is Free Admission with EBT Program?
If you currently have an EBT Card from the following government benefits programs, you are eligible for free or discounted admission to over 300 museums nationwide.
- EBT Card from Food Stamps (SNAP)
- EBT Card from WIC
- EBT Card from TANF
- EBT Card from General Cash Assistance
There are many programs out there that offer free or discounted admissions for EBT cardholders. The most well known is the Museums for all programs.

Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo
Plan Your Visit
Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is one of Connecticut’s top family attractions. Spend an hour or the whole day and see more than 300 animals representing primarily North and South American species. Come learn about our many endangered and threatened species, which include the Amur (Siberian) tiger, Andean condor, Red wolf, Maned wolf, Giant Anteater and Golden lion tamarin. Grab a bite at the Peacock Café, enjoy an outdoor lunch in the Picnic Grove and take a ride on our colorful carousel. We can’t wait to see you!
Zoo Hours
Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm.
(We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. We close at 1 pm on the days before these holidays, with the last ticket sold at noon.)
Please note the Zoo will close at 2 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2020, with the last ticket sold at 12:30 PM as we prepare for our annual Wild Wine, Beer, and Food Safari.
Hours are subject to change due to weather and operational capacity.
